RockNoise - a brief history...
Nick started working on other peoples guitars back in 1988 whilst at Warwick University. He was a member of TSG Hire, putting on Gigs across five venues most nights of the week. This is when he caught the bug for coiling cables at one in the morning and playing "pack the artic".
Nick played bass in an Indie Shoegazing band (ask your Dad) and played gigs with Ocean Colour Scene and Spacemen 3.
Following periods of band management in Bristol and also tour management of bands that the world has no thankfully forgotten, he became a Guitar Tech proper, working for Jan Cyrka (ex-Zodiac MIndwarp and Trace Elliot Endorsee) together they toured every last inch of Europe, but Music for Nations couldn't afford to send us to the States. Jan still has a website, somewhere.
Nick then went off to work in the theatre, being an LX tech at The Bristol Hippodrome. He was a lousy follow-spot operator.
Nick started Rocknoise Guitar Workshops when he moved to leafy Stroud in 2010.
